Kirstie asks…Why cannot mommy buy health care insurance for my sis and me?Mommy was laid off last Tuesday and she lost health care coverage for our family. And she wanted to insure my sister and me and she called many insurance companies Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealth Group, WellPoint, Humana, Coventry, some Blue Cross Blue Shield affiliates and others. And at every insurance company she was told that they stopped writing "child-only" policies in the individual market.
